The VMC1370 Vertical Machining Center is a heavy-duty CNC milling machine built for large metal parts. With 1300 mm X-axis travel, 750 mm Y travel, 700 mm Z travel and a 7500 kg machine weight, it mills, drills, taps and bores oversized housings, moulds and machine beds in a single setup.

Product Description

VMC1370 Vertical Machining Center

The VMC1370 Vertical Machining Center is a heavy-duty CNC milling machine built for workpieces that are simply too large for a standard 1100-class machine. It provides 1300 mm of X-axis travel, 750 mm on the Y axis and 700 mm on Z, with 670 mm of clearance from spindle centre to column face. That envelope covers large moulds, machine beds, structural frames and long guide rails that would otherwise need a second clamping. The 8000 rpm spindle accepts tools up to 8 kg, and the machine weighs 7500 kg, so the structure damps heavy interrupted cuts instead of pushing them back into the workpiece. A rigid cast base, precision linear guideways and high-precision ball screws keep accuracy stable through long production runs.

Key Features

  • X-axis travel 1300 mm, Y-axis travel 750 mm, Z-axis travel 700 mm
  • Spindle speed 8000 rpm with max. tool weight 8 kg
  • Spindle nose to worktable 120-720 mm for tall fixtures and deep workpieces
  • Spindle centre to column 670 mm of clearance for wide and irregular parts
  • 7500 kg machine weight for vibration damping on heavy and interrupted cuts
  • One-piece cast-iron bed with aging treatment for thermal stability
  • Precision linear guideways and high-precision ball screws on all axes
  • Automatic tool changer for fast tool switching and less non-productive time
  • Compatible with mainstream CNC systems such as FANUC, Siemens and Mitsubishi
  • Footprint of 3050 × 2250 × 2400 mm

Large Machining Envelope for Oversized Parts

Every time a part has to be clamped twice, a new datum enters the process and accuracy is lost at the seam. The VMC1370 is sized to remove that compromise: 1300 mm of X-axis travel and 750 mm of Y-axis travel cover large mould bases, machine beds, structural frames, long guide rails and multi-cavity tooling in one setup. The 700 mm Z travel and the 120-720 mm spindle-nose-to-worktable range also accept tall fixtures and deep cavities, so operators do not have to trade part height against tool length. Compared with a smaller machining centre, the extra 200 mm of X travel is often the difference between one setup and two.

Rigid Structure and Precision Drive

The machine is built on a highly rigid, one-piece cast-iron bed that has been aged to release residual stress before it ever cuts metal. That gives the VMC1370 excellent vibration resistance and thermal stability, which is what keeps dimensional accuracy steady across a long shift. Precision linear guideways and high-precision ball screws on all axes deliver smooth, low-friction motion and repeatable positioning, while 670 mm from spindle centre to column face leaves enough clearance for wide and awkwardly shaped workpieces. At 7500 kg, the machine mass absorbs heavy interrupted cutting rather than transmitting the shock into the finished surface.

CNC System and Automation Options

The VMC1370 runs with mainstream CNC systems including FANUC, Siemens and Mitsubishi, so operators stay on the control they already know. Alongside the standard automatic tool changer, the machine supports optional configurations such as fourth and fifth axes, automatic chip conveyors and automated loading and unloading systems. That means the same platform can start as a stand-alone heavy machining centre and later be grown into a flexible or lightly automated production cell without replacing the machine.

Applications

The VMC1370 vertical machining center is used in mould and die manufacturing, automotive parts, construction machinery, aerospace, energy equipment, precision machinery and general metalworking. It machines aluminium alloys, stainless steel, carbon steel and copper alloys, and performs high-precision work on large mould bases, machine beds, structural frames, plates, guide rails, casings and flanges. The actual application depends on the workpiece material, size and machining requirements.

Why Choose VMC1370

A standard machining centre runs out of X travel the moment the workpiece grows beyond about a metre, which forces a second setup and loses accuracy at every re-clamping. The VMC1370 provides 1300 mm of X-axis travel, 750 mm on Y and 700 mm on Z, plus 670 mm of spindle-centre-to-column clearance and a 7500 kg structure, so large moulds, machine beds, frames and guide rails can be finished in one setup on a machine that still fits a 3050 × 2250 mm footprint. Overseas after-sales service and CE certified machines are provided.
